One of the UK’s major motorways, the M1 runs the length of Nottinghamshire. A convenient route from London, Watford, Manchester, Leeds and Leicester, the M1 also links to the M42 and M6 motorways to provide easy access to Birmingham, the West Midlands and Staffordshire.

Using East Midlands Trains‘ route, Nottinghamshire is less than two hours from London St Pancras. Stopping at Nottingham, its route from the north includes Leeds, York, Scarborough, Doncaster and Sheffield and trains depart every 30 minutes. Robin Hood Airport is an exciting new airport located just a few miles away from the North of Nottinghamshire border and within easy reach of the county. Flights in and out of Robin Hood Airport cover 30 destinations in 20 countries and with a runway of 2.8km long, it is the only airport outside of London to carry the new ‘airbus’ so expect long haul arrivals from 2006.
